Rec Room provides a range of accommodations to ensure the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of our events and facilities for all audience members. The following section highlights some of our services. HOURS
We are open to the public during all public events. Please check our Events page for dates and details.
On performance nights, the bar is open from 5 pm - 12 am with happy hour specials from 5 PM - 7 PM.
PARKING
Street parking after 6:00 pm is free. There are paid lots surrounding our building and are open to the public for a fee. Rates vary between lots. Please allow extra time to park during Astros home games. Astros game schedule can be found here.
TRANSPORTATION
Uber and taxis are always good choices if you plan to drink.
METRORail lines are reasonably close.
RED LINE (12 min walk / 0.6 mile): Use the Preston stop. Walk northeast on Main St. towards Congress Ave. Turn right onto Congress Ave. Turn left (NE) onto Jackson St. Rec Room will be on your left at Franklin St.
LATE SEATING
As a courtesy to the audience and the actors, and for your safety, we cannot guarantee late seating. Late seating in less disruptive sections of the house will be at the discretion of the House Manager.
Guests who need to leave their seats during the performance will be readmitted to the back of the house and not to their ticketed seats at the discretion of the House Manager.
ACCESSIBLE SEATING
Accessible seating is available in the front two rows of the Main Stage Theater. Depending on the performance or event in the Back Room Stage, most every seat is accessible. If you need additional assistance or would like to reserve an accessible seat, email info@recroomhtx.com.
WHEELCHAIR STORAGE
For guests who wish to transfer to a seat from their wheelchair, we will store your wheelchair in our lobby during the performance. The House Manager will make arrangements to return the wheelchair to you at the end of the performance or any other time of your choosing.
CAMERAS
Photography and Video Recording is strictly prohibited during the performance. Offenders may be removed without refund.
SMOKING
Smoking, including the use of electronic cigarettes, is not permitted inside Rec Room. Smoking is only permitted at least 25 feet from the building entrance.
FIREARMS ARE NOT PERMITTED
Rec Room Arts is firearms-free. Firearms, including without limitation handguns, shotguns, and rifles (whether concealed or openly carried) are prohibited on Rec Room’s premises. See Penal Code sections 30.06 and 30.07 for more information in English and Spanish. APPROPRIATE CONDUCT & LIABILITY
Management reserves the right to refuse admission or eject any person whose conduct is deemed by management to be disorderly or who fails to comply with Rec Room personnel and posted signs. Ticket holders expressly assume all liability for risk and danger incidental to the ticketed event. Your use of a ticket acknowledges your willingness to appear in photographs taken in public areas of Rec Room Arts, its leases and others from liability resulting from use of such photographs. Titles, artists, dates and prices are subject to change.
